M/s. Ansal Properties and Infrastructure Limited (hereinafter referred as Company orCorporate Debtor) is a Public Company incorporated on 30.06.1967. It is classified as Non-GovernmentCompany and is registered at Registrar of Companies, Delhi. It’s authorized share capital isRs. 150,00,00,000/- and its paid-up capital is Rs. 78,70,24,000/-. It is involved in the business of Real Estate Development, Land Development,Area Estate and Site Development. The Company is engaged in the business of developmentof integrated townships and other large mixed-use and stand-alone projects in the residential,commercial, retail, and hospitality as well as SEZs, IT/ITES, industrial parks, and socialinfrastructures such as educational institutions, clubs, and many more.

The registered office of the company is located at 115, Ansal Bhawan, 16, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, New Delhi - 110001, Delhi.

Initiation of CIRP against the Company:

The Company was admitted to Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) by theHon’ble National Company Law Tribunal, Bench II, New Delhi (NCLT) vide order dated16.11.2022 in Company Petition (IB)-330(ND)/2021 filed by Bibhuti Bhushan Biswas & 125Others under section 7 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 read with Rule 4 ofInsolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India (Application to Adjudicating Authority) Rules,2016whereby Mr. Ashwani Kumar Singlawas appointed as the Interim Resolution Professional.

Further, Appeal (AT) (Insolvency) No. 41 of 2023 was filed by Mr. Ajay Kumar Gupta &Anr. to challenge the order dated 16.11. 2022 passed by the Hon’ble NCLT in CP(IB) 330 of 2021 and vide interim order dated 13.01.2023 passed by the Hon’ble NCLAT, Principal Bench, New Delhi , it has confined the application of order dated 16.11. 2022 to the extent only ‘Fernhil Project’ situated at District Gurgaon.

Thereafter, Mr. Jalesh Kumar Grover was appointed as the Resolution Professional (“RP”) by majority of members of the Committee of Creditors (“COC”) of Ansal Properties & Infrastructure Limited in accordance with Section 22 (3) of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. His appointment was further approved by the Hon’ble NCLT vide order dated 10.01.2024.
